Tracey has over 20 years of Australian
and international media experience, in a variety of journalist, corporate & political advisory roles.
On the political front, she worked as a radio journalist in both the NSW and Federal Parliamentary Press Galleries, as a Ministerial media adviser in Australia, and also in the White House during the 1996 Presidential Elections.
She has worked in-house as a Director of Communications and Media for a leading Australian corporate.
Tracey is a Director of The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and an International Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Public Affairs.
She is a regular public commentator on public affairs matters.

Alastair Furnival (BA MCom)

Alastair’s background is as a policy and political strategist, having worked as a senior adviser and chief of staff for State and Federal Ministers, and within Party organisations.
Outside politics, he has worked as a policy analyst, lobbyist and economic consultant, covering a diverse range of clients including banks and insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, foreign governments and Christian churches.
Alastair is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Journal of Public Affairs.
Liam Bathgate
Director
Liam has more than 30 years of experience
in senior roles across the media, political and corporate sectors.
For over a decade, he has worked in senior corporate advisory and public affairs roles
in the fields of defence and infrastructure.
He also has experience in water, transport and regional development.
His most recent political appointment was as Chief of Staff to a NSW political leader. Prior to this, he served as Press Secretary to Deputy
PM and Federal National Party leader Doug Anthony, Principal Private Secretary to Doug’s successor, Ian Sinclair, followed by his role as General Secretary of the NSW Nationals.
Before his political and corporate career, Liam served as a senior journalist with regional papers and AAP in Sydney, followed by work
in the Federal Press Gallery as a senior correspondent.
Liam is a member of the Monash Awards NSW selection committee.

Rod Frail (BA)

Rod is a corporate communications, public relations and government relations advisor with more than 30 years of experience.
He served as a senior journalist on
two of Australia’s leading broadsheet newspapers which included working
in the Federal and NSW Parliamentary Press Galleries.
He later worked as a media adviser to Government ministers, before taking on senior communications roles with the NRMA and the Insurance Council of Australia.

Andrew Bradley

Andrew has a background in a number of high profile media and communications roles for State and Federal government agencies and was an adviser to the South Australian Government.
He has proven expertise across campaigns, strategy and issues management- planning and implementing significant national projects and managing major issues for a diverse range of departments, companies and industry bodies.
His work has involved all areas of communications from media and stakeholder relations to audits and government lobbying.
Andrew has a special interest in environmental issues and their interaction with the political process. Over the past few years, he
has provided specialist communications support to a number of international and Australian organisations involved in renewable
energy and sustainability during a period of rapid public, political and policy change.

Rachael Power

Rachael has 15 years experience in politics, issues management and stakeholder relations.
She has worked in State and Federal political arenas, advising two former Deputy Prime Ministers on a broad range of social policy and regional development issues with specific focus on the development of rural health and education policies with grassroots organisations.
As a member of the World Youth Day 2008 senior management team, Rachael was involved in the overall strategic decision making and operational planning as well as issues management.
Rachael also worked on the external relations team for one of the world’s top business schools and has in-depth knowledge about issues affecting the strategic development of higher education institutions.

Elle is an experienced graphic designer with more than five years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.
She has worked for clients including Fairfax, ACP, Pacific Magazines, Universal, Hoyts and Icon.
Combining her love of design with her strong interest in art, she has participated in a broad range of projects including a studio residency in Berlin, design of the Eastside Radio Newsletter, various group exhibitions and work for the Art Gallery of NSW.
Elle is well-versed on the full range of visuals for varied campaigns, and has particular expertise in magazine layout and print advertising.

Julia has more than five years of communications experience for a range of corporate, government, not for profit and industry clients.
As a consultant she has worked for foreign and domestic governments and departments, as well as on a range of health, transport and education clients – offering media and general communications advice for reputation management and profile development.
Prior to consulting, she developed and managed state-wide and national PR campaigns with first-rate results for the Red Cross, including during natural disasters, and in fundraising and community education campaigns.
Julia has expertise in fronting the media as an organisational spokesperson and is a proficient presenter and media trainer.

Sarah Shields (BComm)

Sarah has nearly five years of experience
in journalism, public relations and graphic design.
She began in a small public relations
agency where she worked on a range of clients in the education, local government, environment and industry sectors, before freelancing as a journalist
and sub-editor for suburban papers.
More recently, Sarah worked in-house offering public relations and internal communications advice to a global medical device company.
She is a proficient graphic designer and her editorial and design skills also combine to produce first rate newsletters, brochures and other materials for APA’s clients.

Sally has both in-house and consulting experience in communications and
media relations.
She started her career with the in-house communications team at a major Sydney hospital which included work on strategy, media, launches, fundraising and major events.
This was followed by a move into consulting where she has further developed her expertise in the health sector communications, and has added specialties in finance, the green sector, private education, the travel industry and not-for-profit organisations.
Kelly Carder (BVisComm
Designer
Kelly is an accomplished graphic designer with more than three years of experience in creative design studios and the publishing industry.
Having coordinated the layout and design of more than 25 marketing and real estate magazine titles, she is has an extensive knowledge of editorial design and print production.
Kelly received a scholarship to assist with her design studies, and whilst at university she also undertook a range of design positions including time as an in-house designer at a monthly community magazine.

Sarah Jane joined APA in 2009, after completing her Bachelor of Social Sciences.
Within the firm, she focuses on social policy research, analysis and communication support.
Her work has included research and strategy projects for clients in education, healthcare, food production, agricultural investment and corporate regulation.
Sarah Jane has developed a range of qualitative research tools for APA and our clients, and also has a strong interest in emerging trends in social media.
